STUDENT CONTRACT
Online Pre-licensing COURSE
Anyone who has not scheduled a road test but has received a Photo Learner’s Permit from the NYS DMV will need to take the pre-licensing course. If you are under 18, you’ll have to wait six months after receiving a learner’s permit before you can schedule your road test. You will also have to take a driver’s ed course or a pre-licensing course taught by one of the certified driving schools.
Pre-licensing course LLC (COURSE PROVIDER) offers online pre-licensing driver education course 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This availability may be affected by circumstances such as, but not limited to: system, site or connectivity failure over which the COURSE PROVIDER has no control.

The minimum hardware required is such that it should be able to support the software configuration listed above. The course requires the use of a pointing device such as a mouse. The course recommends that the hardware be equipped with speakers. All students will go through the software evaluation after registration, but prior to the start of the course.
STUDENT VALIDATION TECHNIQUES
The STUDENT understands that for identity verification purposes, the COURSE PROVIDER will utilize three (3) methods to ensure the identity of the course participant. The STUDENT will be required to: (a) answer Content Validation Questions derived from the course content, (b) answer Personal Validation Questions derived from the registration information, and (c) enter a word sequence as part of the Keystroke Verification System that will be used to validate the STUDENT’S typing biometric while in the course. Throughout the course, the STUDENT will be asked to re-enter the word sequence, and the system will validate their identity based on the analysis of the keystroke patterns from when the STUDENT entered the word sequence at registration. In addition to the validation techniques the STUDENT must take the two (2) level exams and pass with 75% within the allowed three (3) attempts.
The STUDENT shall have 60 seconds to respond to the Content Validation Questions, 45 seconds to respond to the Personal Validation Questions, and 45 seconds to enter the word sequence for the Keystroke validation. Failure to respond correctly and/or failure to respond within the allowed time limit shall result in authentication failure. The STUDENT shall have three (3) attempts to pass the content validation question, two (2) attempts to pass a personal validation question and keystroke authentication, after which they will be locked out of the course and will need to contact customer service. If the STUDENT is locked out of the course, the STUDENT will need to restart the course from the beginning, with a $9.99 fee.
